Regina Anderson, HHC AADP
Why I got started: I always had an interest in nutrition and healthy eating. I personally have a Celiac disease, so finding foods to eat on a daily basis was difficult for me. I learned not only how to eat, but also to cook and teach other people around me the benefits of eating healthy. I write and create my own recipes. Eating organic foods is the way to go.
Where I've been: I've taught community education programs in Rockville Centre, Lynbrook and other school districts in Nassau County. A few years ago, I helped a family friend grow an organic garden for Harvest for the World in Roosevelt, NY. I've also taught lectures for chiropractors and the North Shore Dental Department. I teach cooking classes public and private home parties. I also cater and I am a private chef for any occasion. My favorite healthy food:Organic Mixed green salad with beets, hummus, avocado, apples, nuts, and cranberries. And my own homemade dressing or just Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Balsamic. My favorite place to shop for food: Kennedy Plaza Farmers Market (Part of Arts in the Plaza), Rockville Centre Farmers Market, Crossroads Farm, Whole Foods, Jandi's and Wild By Nature My family: Three daughters, Roxanne, Erica, and Amanda, my son Ralph,5 beautiful Grandchildren and my husband Ralph. Roxanne and Erica are both Celiac just like me! Check out Roxanne's website called The Holistic Mama. Roxanne makes her own skin product line. |
