Welcome to my new website Zen Sweetz! I wanted to start out by telling you the story of how my business grew, and continues to grow, to what it is today. I actually started out by catering soups and muffins for weekend yoga retreats at a now closed down yoga studio in Lynbrook called Yoga and Tea, which was when everyone told me how tasty they were and that they would buy some to bring home! That was when I made my own business in September 2013 called Lettuce Be Healthy.
I make all my soups and muffins from home to this day. Basically my customers make orders based on their preference of foods and they come to my house to pick them up. All of my foods are gluten, vegan, organic, etc. Sometimes I even use produce from my own garden or farmer's markets to use in my foods. I always try to add a special ingredient which is used to help your body naturally in one way or another. For example, I use tumeric in some of my foods because it is anti inflammatory, which helps for joint and brain health. Besides my food selling business I also teach classes as well at the Rockville Centre Schools for Adult Education programs on Vegetarian Cooking. My next classes are on April 13th, April 20th and May 4th from 7:30-9pm. For more information and sign up, please go to www.rvcschools.org. I am trying to expand my menu of foods, so if you have any suggestions please comment below! Some of my ideas currently are granola, hummus, protein bars or balls, and salad dressing. If you like any of these ideas, please let me know! Please also follow my new Facebook and Instagram under Zen Sweetz! I will try to add a new post to my blog every Wednesday at noon, so please check back for upcoming events and new information. -Regina
