Fall season is here and what does that mean? Congestion, allergies and flu season! If you know you are one of those people who coughs and sneezes, read below to find some simple yet healthy ways to boost your immune system!

Step one: Diet
  • Low sugar diet means no refined sugar and processed carbs. These foods lower your immune system so try to add in more veggies and fruits.
  • Hardy organic soups also build your immune system. Bone broth made from beef, chicken or turkey bones used as a broth for soups works wonders. It contains minerals and collagen which makes stronger to fight against illness. Message me to buy some of my organic soups on my menu!

Step two: Prevention
  • Make your own Elderberry syrup with this simple recipe: ½ cup dried elderberries, 2 cups of filtered water, ½ cup local raw honey. In a pot, put elderberries and 2 cups of water. Bring to a boil then simmer for 3 to 4 minutes. Turn off heat and let steep for 15 minutes. Strain into a bowl and throw away elderberries. Let cool and then stir in honey until melted. Store in your refrigerator and take 1 to 2 tablespoons a day.
  • Use supplements daily such as Probiotics, Zinc, Vitamin C, Vitamin D3 & K2
  • Substitute honey for sugar. Raw, local honey is good or any organic one will do. Look for Manuka honey in a health food store.

Step three: Protect your environment (if someone around you is sick)
  • Teas - Yogi Green tea, Traditional Medicinal, Gypsy Cold Care Tea, Echinacea Plus
  • Use supplements such as Oregano oil or Olive leaf oil capsules twice a day
  • Manuka honey mixed with lemon juice
  • Chestal honey cough syrup. It's delicious and it helps! Found in most health food stores.
  • Clean surfaces and common household appliances with vinegar or any organic and natural cleaning products
